From Ludmila’s journal · Prague · August 2018

The first International Watercolour Festival in beautiful Prague is still fresh in my memory. I was very proud to be part of this unforgettable event.

From 3 to 9 August 2018, hundreds of artists came together to share their love of watercolour. Thanks to a year of hard work and dedication from organisers Alexandra Bryksa, Vasyl Bryksa and their team, we were able to enjoy a fantastic festival.

My painting of Nina

My entry to the exhibition was Nina, a watercolour portrait of my daughter, painted on Arches paper.

The organisers’ enthusiasm and good spirit made an amazing event possible. It was a pleasure to be part of it.

Meeting other watercolour artists

It was a fantastic experience to watch the great watercolour artist Liu Yi and many others at work. Thank you to Alexandra Bryksa for giving everyone this opportunity, and for the wonderful organisation.
